A seven-seat crossover inside the Exiga name

Subaru’s Japanese release calls it EXIGA CROSSOVER 7 and positions it as a city-SUV and multi-passenger crossover. Seven seats and all-weather AWD were central to the launch proposition; the badge retained the Exiga identity rather than implying a new Tribeca or a North American replacement.

The release places it in Japan’s SUV lineup alongside Outback, Forester and XV. That domestic context does not establish availability or a replacement role in other markets.

Clearance and width balanced the urban brief

Dedicated suspension gave the 2015 Japan-market model 170 mm of stated road clearance. Subaru set overall width at 1,800 mm and explicitly mentioned mechanical parking structures. The dimensions show a crossover brief pairing added clearance with a width chosen for dense urban settings.

These are model and market-specific launch figures, not a guarantee that every parking structure can accommodate it.
