A larger, naturally aspirated engine, and tS returns as a regular trim.
The Subaru BRZ debuted November 18, 2020 (as a 2021 model), with Toyota's GR86 following April 5, 2021. The engine grew to the naturally aspirated FA24D, 2.4L, 228–232 hp / 184 lb-ft at 3,700 rpm — a displacement increase from the first generation's 2.0L unit, still without a turbocharger. For model year 2024, the BRZ tS returned not as a limited run but as a regular, mass-production trim, with gold-finish 4-piston front/2-piston rear Brembo brakes and STI-themed interior trim.
Global; Toyota's version badged GR86 (Gazoo Racing sub-brand) worldwide from 2021.
